Nothing happens when I start the course, my screen is blank or I get a message about pop-ups

To ensure the course displays correctly, please ensure that the pop-up blocker is disabled in the Internet Browser you are using.

Please use the following tool to check if pop-up blockers are stopping you from taking your training. If you do not see OK in all the boxes, you will experience difficulties.

Internet Explorer

To configure the pop-up blocker on the tools menu, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to turn off the Pop-up Blocker
  2. Start the course again in the Learning Centre
  3. Turn pop-up blockers on again if you wish

Firefox

Click on the Firefox tab at the top right of the browser, then select 'Options', followed by 'Options' again.

Choose the 'Content' section, and remove the tick box next to 'Block pop-up windows' (you can change this back afterwards).

Click 'OK'.

If you do not see the 'Firefox' tab shown above, it means you have the Menu Bar switched on. Simply select, Tools/Options to bring up the screen which allows you to allow pop-ups.

Google Chrome

We recommend either Internet Explorer or Firefox, but if you do choose to use chrome please find instructions from Google on how to allow pop-ups so that you can begin your training.

Please install one of the above listed browsers to ensure compatibility.
